Flight schools.
A nationwide directory of FAA Part 141 pilot schools, searchable by state and city. Listings are official federal certification records shown exactly as published by the FAA — not ratings, recommendations or paid placements.
Ranking here is organic. Placement, verification and certification status cannot be bought. Any paid placement, if we ever offer one, will be labelled as an advertisement and kept out of these results.

Where these listings come from
Part 141 listings are official certification records taken from the FAA AVInfo facility directory, source data updated 31 August 2026. They are certificate and address facts — not recommendations, ratings, endorsements or paid placements, and not a statement that a location is currently accepting students.
Part 61 providers are not comprehensively included yet. Inclusion in the FAA directory is not a quality endorsement, and we do not describe any of these schools as verified by The Pilot Method.
Airport identifiers are not mapped for these records. We do not guess a nearest airport, so filter by state and city for now.
Part 61 or Part 141 — what the difference means
Both are ways of training under the federal aviation regulations, and both lead to the same certificates and ratings. Neither is automatically better; the right one depends on your schedule, your budget and the school itself.
Part 141 — the school holds an FAA pilot school certificate and teaches an FAA-approved course outline, with set stage checks and, for some certificates, lower minimum hours.
Part 61 — a certificated instructor trains you against the requirements in the regulation, with more flexibility in order and pace. A Part 61 school is not FAA-approved, and we never describe one that way.
We show “FAA-certificated Part 141” only where a current official source for that certificate was reviewed. Check any school yourself with the FAA Pilot School locator.
How a listing gets here
- — Part 141 listings come from the official FAA AVInfo facility directory export, source data updated 31 August 2026. We do not copy descriptions, photos or reviews from other directories, and we do not add invented descriptions.
- — Part 141 is only shown when an authoritative FAA source for that certificate was reviewed. Everything else reads as Part 61 or not verified.
- — A school can claim its listing and then edit its own description and contact details. Certification, provenance and publication stay with our review team.
- — Part 61 providers are not comprehensively included yet, and inclusion in the FAA directory is not a quality endorsement.
- — There are no public anonymous reviews in this version.
