License

What your purchase lets you do.

Every guide, course, sample and reference card set is licensed, not sold outright. This page states the licence in plain terms.

Version 1.0 · effective 2026-09-01. JD ATLAS LLC operates The Pilot Method.

The licence

A completed purchase gives the named purchaser a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, nontransferable licence to access and use that digital product for their own personal educational use.

Under that licence you may:

  • — view the product through your authorised account;
  • — download an authorised copy where a download is offered; and
  • — make personal notes, or print one personal study copy where the product permits printing.

What the licence does not allow

  • — forwarding, uploading, posting, emailing, selling, renting, lending, sublicensing or distributing the product or any substantial part of it;
  • — sharing credentials, signed download links, or group and classroom use without a separate written licence;
  • — removing or concealing notices, identifiers, watermarks or access controls;
  • — extracting content to build flashcards, question banks, courses, datasets, models, summaries for sale, or a competing product;
  • — automated scraping, copying, training on, or systematically reproducing the product; or
  • — presenting the product as your own work.

Free material

The First Steps Guide and the published free reference cards are free to read, download and use for personal learning without an account. Any product sample explicitly offered free is licensed for personal evaluation. None of this free material is placed in the public domain, and none of it may be republished or resold.

Delivery, revocation and enforcement

Access is granted only after the payment processor confirms payment on our server. A checkout success screen alone never grants access. Where a refund is approved or a purchase is reversed, the associated access may be revoked.

Unauthorised distribution can lead to suspension of access and to legal remedies. Report suspected misuse or infringement to fly@pilotmethodaviation.com. See also the copyright and acceptable use page and the terms of use.
