Your purchase. Your refund terms.

The Private Pilot Course is offered as a one-time purchase with lifetime access. Its product page and checkout present these terms before payment. At checkout, you accept them with an explicitly unchecked box before continuing to Stripe.

The course conditions below also apply to the Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot courses. Their included guides form part of the course purchase and follow its course refund conditions, not the separate-PDF window. Any other product requires its own active checkout and the policy presented with that purchase.

• Private, Instrument and Commercial courses: 30 calendar days, subject to the three course conditions below.
• Individual guides, The Flight Review Guide and PDF-only bundles: 7 calendar days, whether opened or downloaded.
• Written Test Prep PAR, IRA and CAX: 14 calendar days, without usage limits.

These windows run from the purchase, not from the first time you open a product. The Quick Reference Library and packs containing non-PDF products are not PDF-only bundles; these terms do not silently activate or change an unlisted offer.

The Private Pilot Course is a one-time purchase of $99 USD. It is not a subscription, there is no automatic renewal, and no recurring charge is ever created for it.

You can request a full refund within 30 calendar days of your purchase. To qualify, all of the following must also be true at the time of the request:

• your server-recorded course completion is below 80%;
• you have not submitted a request for final instructor review or for a knowledge-test endorsement; and
• no completion credential has been issued to you.

These are material limits on the refund, not fine print: they are stated here, on the product page and at checkout before you pay.

You can request a full refund within 7 calendar days of your purchase of an individual Quick-Review Guide, The Flight Review Guide, or a bundle containing only PDFs, including the Complete 6-Guide Bundle.

There is no requirement that the file remain unopened or undownloaded. Opening or downloading it does not affect refund eligibility.

A guide included with a course belongs to that course purchase, which follows the course conditions above.

You can request a full refund within 14 calendar days of purchase of a PAR, IRA or CAX Written Test Prep bank.

There are no limits on questions answered, practice exams taken, or other usage. Each standalone bank remains a separate one-time purchase with 24 months of access from confirmed payment, no subscription and no automatic renewal. Courses, guides and the official examination fee are not included.

You may request a full refund of your first $39.99 monthly membership payment within 14 calendar days, with no usage limit. Contact us with your account email. Renewal payments are not automatically refundable or prorated, except where required by applicable law or if we materially fail to deliver the access you paid for.

Cancel renewal directly from Account → Membership → Cancel renewal before your next renewal. There is no cancellation fee. Access continues through the paid period. A refund request does not itself cancel future renewals; use Cancel renewal to stop them.

A full refund ends access supplied by that payment. Separate purchases and saved learning records are retained. The course, PDF-only, and standalone Written refund windows above apply to those purchases, not separately to each resource accessed through membership.

An approved refund is returned to the original payment method. When it is issued, the paid entitlement for the course is revoked and access ends. A refund is a reversal of the purchase, not a way to keep the material.

For a course that includes a guide or Written Prep, an approved refund reverses that course purchase. For a PDF-only or Written Test Prep purchase, it reverses the purchased product and its license/access. Included resources follow the course refund conditions; the standalone Written window does not apply separately to a bank included in a course. Separately purchased access is not part of that refund. Refunds affect only the rights supplied by the refunded order, not other purchases, subscriptions or training records.

Nothing here removes a right you cannot waive under the consumer-protection law that applies to you. Separately from the window above, if we materially fail to deliver the access you paid for and the failure is attributable to The Pilot Method, we will fix the access or refund you — whichever you reasonably prefer — even outside the 30 calendar day window.

Our courses provide Part 61 ground school through home study. Students can request knowledge-test endorsement review after the required course work. An authorized instructor reviews preparation and eligibility before issuing the endorsement. Purchasing gives you a personal, nontransferable license for your own training use.
